Welcome to Barnstable Village Association!

Barnstable Village Association (BVA) is a non-partisan civic organization founded by volunteers to provide the villages of Barnstable and Cummaquid a forum for the discussion of matters of civic concern and to provide a means to address those concerns in ways that will serve the best interests of residents and businesses.  

Our mission is to strengthen the social, cultural and economic fabric of our diverse community by promoting civic engagement, preserving the historic character of our villages, protecting our remaining open spaces and enhancing the viability of our local businesses.

The BVA sponsors year round activities and programs for the enjoyment, entertainment and safety of our residents and businesses in an effort to promote a vital sense of community. Sponsored yearly events such as our 4th of July Parade, Jailhouse Jam Summer Concert Series, Halloween Parade and Winter Stroll are all made possible by the dues, contributions and volunteer work of our members.
